Stormzy drops the visual to his surprise and latest track ‘Wiley Flow’.
Embarking on a crisp run of singles with the recents ‘Vossi Bop’ and ‘Sounds of the Skeng’, Stormzy returns to his grime roots on bold new single ‘Wiley Flow’. Croydon’s rapper shows respect to grime veteran Wiley on one of his most confrontational performances yet. “Been on the scene for a hundred months / All I’ve met is bare cunts…” he raps, before adding: “North and East and West are hot but the South’s on flames…”, many have already been left questioning whether or not it was a diss or a tribute.
The two MCs were recently got into an Twitter debate about Ed Sheeran’s use of grime on the “Take Me Back to London” featuring Stormzy, but by the sounds of this track, it seems there’s no bad blood between the two men. On top of the single’s release, the Londoner also shared a music video for the single, showcasing him and his posse in a dark lit room as they mob to his track.
